Almost 30 years ago, Ralph Stevens, an avid paddler, created the first Carlisle paddle. With guide and livery companies in his local area in mind. He constructed his paddles with the strength and robust nature that expert paddlers need. He succeeded in this and today Carlisle is one of the most recognised and widely known brands in water sports.
Carlisle still offers outstanding paddles for touring and recreational paddlers. As well as oars for open canoes. All in a wide variety of designs and materials. Every paddle is designed to meet the individual needs and conditions all paddlers face. Each one is built to withstand all the beating that can be thrown at it and just keep going.
Whether younew to paddling or an experienced and hardened river rat, Carlisle have the paddle that is just right for you.

Asymmetrically shaped blades of polypropylene use a dihedral shape for smooth, efficient strokes. A lightweight shaft of anodized aluminum has a slight oval cross section, to improve grip. This is the perfect paddle for kayaking beginners - or makes an ideal backup paddle for more experienced paddlers.
Although cheap, it has a relatively light weight and is of a robust design. The shaft is 220cm which is quite long, making this paddle suitable for sit on kayaks as well.
